FAQ - The Merry Mage (2025)

Hi! My name is Nick and I'm the artist behind The Merry Mage. I'm based in the Netherlands.

The artwork, videos, and games are my work, along with the newer stories.

Kate handles the member sign-ups and other key behind-the-scenes work.

We're a small but mighty team!

Max Walker wrote the older stories, including the Double Dare Series and the Harry Potter game story.

I launched this website in late 2020 to share my erotic artwork and it just blew up.

Over a million people visited in our first year!

The success of the website has allowed me to quit my old job and do this work full-time, which I'm incredibly grateful for : ).

Currently there are over 4,500 members who are supporting the site as monthly, quarterly, annual members and over 700 Lifetime members.

Thank you so much to all of you!!!!

I get this question a lot!

My art process has evolved over time.

I've always used a base of 3D models which I render and then digitally paint the faces (based on references).

Recently I've started using AI to re-texture parts of the initial 3D renders, improving skin tone, hair textures, and other details.

I never use AI to create the base image, which is why you'll never see messed up hands or weird details that break the fantasy.

And I don't use AI to create the faces, which is why the likeness is so good (and not 'almost' them, which bugs me and is what AI usually creates).

I experimented in the past with using 3D models for the faces, but they were just never good and I've stopped trying that.

I do a ton of postwork in Photoshop as well.

Most people pay using a credit card via Gumroad.

(My Patreon page is no longer active, so for memberships Gumroad is the best option.)

If you're purchasing a Lifetime Membership ($197) or a non-renewing Annual Membership ($60), you can also pay via PayPal or Venmo.

For PayPal, get instructions here: https://themerrymage.com/using-paypal/

My Venmo address is: https://www.venmo.com/u/merrytales

IMPORTANT: If you pay via PayPal or Venmo, be sure to email me at nick@themerrymage.com immediately after so I have your email information to set-up your account.

Note that monthly, quarterly, and per series payments are not available via PayPal or Venmo.

You can sign-up for a membership through Gumroad (it's called Artwork by Nick, but includes Merry Mage access).

Kate needs to manually set-up each account, so there's a slight delay (usually a few hours) between when you sign-up and when you get your login information.

Don't worry - you'll get it soon.

I release at least 5 new scenes every month, often more.

Most people sign-up for the annual membership, but some people start out with monthly and then upgrade their membership once they see the content.

You cancel anytime, but need to maintain an active membership to retain access.

** Lifetime Membership is now available. No more recurring payments ever! My new scenes every week for life : )

When you buy the Lifetime Membership, you get access to all my past and future work (artwork, videos, games, etc) forever.

No more recurring payments. Your account is always active.

You also get full access to all the Nomad Teens series.

I'll also refund up to $50 of past purchases on your request (just email me after you buy the Lifetime Membership).

Thanks so much for your support!

PayPal is available for Lifetime or Annual memberships only. Click here for PayPal instructions

The Nomad Teens series is available automatically for annual or lifetime members, or by request for monthly/quarterly members who have been subscribed for 4+ months.

Click here to sign-up or to upgrade your membership.

If you've been subscribed to monthly or quarterly for 4+ months, email Kate@themerrymage.com to get access. : )

Yes! Click the download icon in the upper right of the image viewer.

But please do not share the images & videos publicly. It REALLY hurts my ability to make a living and do this work fulltime if you do. Thanks!

Because Kate needs to set-up the accounts manually, sometimes there can be a delay of as much as 6 hours before you get your login information (basically, if she's asleep).

Usually though, you'll get it within an hour.

If more than 6 hours have passed, check your spam folder or do a search on 'kate@themerrymage.com' within your email.

If you still can't find any email from Kate, email her at kate@themerrymage.com as sometimes certain email services (particularly outlook, hotmail, me.com, gmx, and mail.com) bounce our emails.

She'll reply to you as soon as she can with the login information.

Don't worry - I have thousands of members and no one hasn't been able to access their account!

Email Kate at kate@themerrymage.com and she'll resend your login information.

Kate needs to manually set-up each account, so there may be a delay of up to 6 hours until you receive your login information.

Once you login, note that for older series (before 2022) you need to click on the Member Access links (not the image link or preview link) to access the member content.

Also, a reminder that you need an active membership to retain site access. If you've canceled your membership, that's probably why you can't access the member content.

Use the form below if you're still having any issues!

The payments are processed through Gumroad (a payment platform sort of like Patreon but for artists) and so "Gumroad.com" will show up on your statement.

Note that I don't have any access to your credit card information. It's all processed securely through Gumroad.

Absolutely! I take privacy super seriously so your information is *never* shared with anyone else. There are thousands of supporters in our community and respecting everyone's privacy is really important to me.

Yes! Members send me ideas all the time and I often end up using them. If you have an idea or a character you really want to see, just let me know in the contact form below!

I've recently re-opened commissions, but will be pretty picky with which ones I do.

To get inquire, pls use this form: https://themerrymage.com/commissions/

So sorry to see you go!

If you signed up via Gumroad, you need to go to Gumroad.com and cancel your membership there. You can reactivate it again later if you change your mind.

If you signed up via Patreon, just do what you normally do to stop your patronage of my page.

Keep in mind that when you cancel you'll lose your site access, so if you've already paid for a month or more, you may wish to cancel closer to the renewal date so you can enjoy all the news scenes I'll be releasing.

If you can't figure out how to cancel, just email me and I'll do it for you.

Absolutely! I hold regular polls here: https://themerrymage.com/polls

But you can also email me anytime at nick@themerrymage.com with suggestions or requests.

Check out the What's New page to see the next's week's planned scene

You can also see if there's been a recent poll for future scenes: https://themerrymage.com/polls/

Otherwise I usually decide the week before, so it can be a bit spontaneous. Feel free to email me suggestions!

I think a lot of guys have non-con fantasies and it's ok to embrace those for that they are: fantasies.

Ideally as a fantasy it can be a safe expression of something that turns a lot of guys on in their minds.

However, it shouldn't ever go beyond fantasy.

In the real world, we obviously should always treat women and girls with respect.

We shouldn't be creeps or assholes.

I recognize my work walks the line of that with certain celebrities.

It's a valid criticism.

I feel however that many of our shared fantasies are about our favorite characters and we visualize those characters as the people who play them.

For better or worse, my work reflects that reality.

But to be clear, I don't endorse any real-life non-consensual behavior towards anyone.

Keep it to the pixels only and to fantasy!

I wish they were ; p

They are my fantasies and are not in fact real people.

I'm just trying to make them as realistic looking as I can for the fantasy.

Enjoy!

If you're a celebrity and don't want your likeness used on my site, just reach out to me and I'll remove it (yes, even if you're Emma Watson).
